Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines are currently looking to recruit experienced Chief Security Officers to work on board of our vessels. This role will be temporary to start with, but may lead to a permanent position.

To be considered for this role, you would need:

Previous cruise ship experience in the role of Chief Security Officer.

The ability to take overall responsibility for the security of the vessel, the ship’s passengers and crew.

Experience in ensuring compliance with ISPS code and other regulatory requirements.

To be competent in security duties and supervision, following strict company and regulatory policies.

The ability to work independently and as an effective member of a small team - experience as head of security essential.


Candidates must hold the following valid STCW certification:

Ship Security Officer license (A-VI/5);
- Advanced Firefighting (A-VI/3);
- STCW Basic Safety Training (A-VI/1);
- Crisis Management and Human Behaviour (A-V/2);
- PSCRB (A-VI/3).
Candidates must also hold a valid Seafarers' Medical Certificate.

Must possess the ability to read, write and speak English clearly and distinctly
